Data Mart Development

Pragmatic Systems International Corporation staff designed and developed a data mart based on SAS running on a SUN 3000 box. The system was designed for Revenue Management and was completed within 5 months with additional enhancements delivered in an additional 3 months. The system provides forecasting (booking and cancellation), information about booking trends, agency information and has become the basis for distribution via a Lotus Notes sales force automation system. Evaluated many OLAP end user reporting tools and applied two to the SAS data base, providing users with easy access to the wealth of data.

Resulted in revenue increase of over $1.8 million in first year.
